Chocolate banana cake

Today, I spent a very meaningful day, baking for a charity group for their tea break.  Thanks to hub who take over the ubering alone today, you are the best!

Also my kind banana sponsor who contributed her organic, sweet banana that was grown well with loving care.

It is my first time participating in this group, Bake for charity.  If you enjoy baking and would love to participate, do join in.

I have tried out this recipe before but today, I shall add some chocolate to it.

What you need:

125g unsalted butter
150g brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
200g banana, mashed
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
a pinch of salt
150g plain flour
50g cocoa powder

Chocolate chip (optional)

Method:

Preheat oven to 180°C and lined and greased 8" square pan.

Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg one at a time.

Add milk, vanilla essence and mashed banana.  Beat to combine.

Sift in baking powder, baking soda, plain flour and salt.  Fold until it is well incorporated.

Bake for 25 - 30 mins or until skewer comes clean.

Cheers!
